I like the fit and cut. They are comfortable. They fit my thick lower body. They don't feel tight or constricting. The material it's nice but... the description and the photos don't really reveal that this mesh material is single layer/ply and unlined. It's basically see through. Which is fine if that's what you're going for. People will be able to see your goods if you pair these with a jock strap or will be tell what color underwear you're wearing if it's anything other than the color of the shorts. It's a 'modest cut' but the mesh definitely is not.
If you're going to a more....how shall I say? ..... colorful gym/event/club, these will fit right in. Maybe not for a.... fitness planet. But particular gyms in the diverse side of town...these are a go.
So, for not really giving the best description of what you're getting I'm giving these a 4. I'm not returning them because I can see where I'd wear them but for me, these are not something I'd wear at the gym. I wouldn't have ordered them had I known they were as revealing so I am glad I got them on sale.
They'd have gotten a 5 if they were lined.

Fits snug like a bug in a rug. I like the side slits which helps when I'm getting some good depth on my squats. Black is my go to and it's pretty minimal with the small logo on the thigh. 10/10 shorts.
